So I just bought my first banshee, I've had it for maybe a month and the other day I was riding it and it wasn't very hard at all and I needed to stop and when I got back on to leave I looked down and seen all my tranny fluid came out of the front breather tube so Ik my crank seal is bad. I tore the motor down and seen that the guy I bought it from used WAY to much yamahbond it's everywhere in the bottom of the cases. It even made huge pockets of it in my clutch case. My bearing feel fine and my crank looks okay and my tranny might need cleaned up but what should I really worry about when I put it back together. Like what parts and what brands

Approach the bottom end in a way that all bases are covered and you might as well do any upgrades that you may need now since you're going in there.

Here's a quick list:

-kicker idler bushing

-modded shift shaft, shift star, roller detent arm

-pancake bearing

-fresh clutch and replace any worn components

-fresh seals and good sealer (don't forget to put sealer on the keyway on the crank'a primary gear)

-crank trued and welded as well as fresh outer bearings if it's in good shape

-transmission bearings

-replace any misc. clips, retainers, and use full clips where you can (get it from a vendor here and not the dealership)

Also, if you are ever considering a much higher output motor in the future, consider doing the trans while it's out of there. There are guys that can do some machining that helps it shift a bit more like a honda instead of a Mack truck.

I prefer 32/1 personally regardless of brand. The 50/1 synthetics I have ran and formed an opinion based on experience. They do provide adequate lube for a run of the mill stock bikes and such. But I feel they don't provide the extra cushion of oil a hi performance motor should get. If you mix the Amsoil at 32:1 it makes quite a cloud.

Pistons, definitely a forged Weisco or WSM.

Has that motor been jetted properly for sure? Also with those domes, you should definitely consider making sure that crank is welded.

I run a 310 main and a 30 pie. It starts really hard sometimes for some reason. Pretty sure the carbs are just not tuned right. And it is a welded crank. Where is a place I can order all of those parts and have somebody know what I'm needing. I hate calling parts depos and nobody knows what I'm talking about
