bretto55 Posted May 15, 2015 Report Posted May 15, 2015 Hello, i have a 95, 65mm bore. I parked mine yesterday, didn't have no problems, as i went to crank it over to start it back up, the kickstarter was catching. At first i thought, maybe my crank is bad, but i pulled it apart and checked the crank and it was fine, but when i go to turn it over it catches at one point, please help, thank you. Quote
trickedcarbine Posted May 15, 2015 Report Posted May 15, 2015 Bearings could be nearing the end. Look at everything under the clutch cover. If nothing apparent shows up, you need to split the cases. Quote
bretto55 Posted May 15, 2015 Author Report Posted May 15, 2015 Is it hard to replace crank bearings or would i be better off to get crank?0 Quote
trickedcarbine Posted May 15, 2015 Report Posted May 15, 2015 They need to be pulled and pressed on, so if you got access to that it's easy. I'd definitely have yours checked for trueness and phase, and get a quick weld on it at a minimum. Quote
bretto55 Posted May 15, 2015 Author Report Posted May 15, 2015 Alright, i appreciate it, thanks a lot. Quote
bretto55 Posted May 16, 2015 Author Report Posted May 16, 2015 I ended up figuring out the problem, my bolt holes on my stator are bad and the bolts jarred out,the bolts were catching on the magneto, what a relief. Quote
trickedcarbine Posted May 16, 2015 Report Posted May 16, 2015 Nice, hope the flywheel is still good. Better the tearing down a motor and not finding an issue. Quote
trickedcarbine Posted May 16, 2015 Report Posted May 16, 2015 Should see his family's race cars. Quote
