PhattyMatty350 Posted March 26, 2015 Report Posted March 26, 2015 I want to replace my stock wheels with some black wheels with an offset that can make it sit a little wider... What are some recommendations? Stock tire sizes by the way Quote
locogato11283 Posted March 26, 2015 Report Posted March 26, 2015 I would run a 9x9 wheel with a 3/6 offset. You can flip the wheels either way you want depending on how wide or narrow you want the rear end. RMATV sells just about any wheel you could want. I run the Douglas wheels. They hold up pretty good. You would want at least a .160 wheel if not a .190 wheel depending on the type of riding you do. Quote
PhattyMatty350 Posted March 26, 2015 Author Report Posted March 26, 2015 I do a lot of trail riding with street riding on dirt roads in between... But just for all around riding. Quote
locogato11283 Posted March 26, 2015 Report Posted March 26, 2015 I'd run a Douglas .160 or .190 wheel then. Quote
PhattyMatty350 Posted March 27, 2015 Author Report Posted March 27, 2015 Which one of the two would give the bike a wider stance Quote
PhattyMatty350 Posted March 29, 2015 Author Report Posted March 29, 2015 Thanks a lot zilla! That helps Quote
PhattyMatty350 Posted March 30, 2015 Author Report Posted March 30, 2015 Where do you guys buy your wheels I wanna go with some Douglas wheels.. I want the set up you mentioned above zilla Quote
Dixie normus Posted March 30, 2015 Report Posted March 30, 2015 I think they started making a wheel with the rolled edge like OEM has. Be better for woods riding. I've seen many afternarket wheels bend at the bead/lip Quote
sheerider11 Posted March 30, 2015 Report Posted March 30, 2015 Hipers. Omf. Don't settle for less. Quote
bluebanshee98 Posted March 30, 2015 Report Posted March 30, 2015 ^ this. Tire changing is a breeze and they pay for themselves over time Quote
PhattyMatty350 Posted April 15, 2015 Author Report Posted April 15, 2015 I'm gonna go 10x5 3+2 in the front and 9x8 3+5 in the back.. Will it give my bike a slightly wider stance? Quote
