10 hours on rebuild

Rebuild consisted of

New rings

New crank seals

New tranny

Cylinders honed

All new gaskets except for water pump

Okay so here we go.

Bike ran great for about 10 hours no issues. On my way home from a buddies I took the quick way home aka the road. I didn't stop or really slow down once the entire time. Ran at about 3/4 throttle. I get to my subdivision and let off the throttle (fuckin' neighbors). Bike acted like it got hit with an emp. It just died all of a sudden. It didn't shut off but it wouldn't make power. It would Rev up at idle but when I went to go the bike would just bog. Got it home and threw some new plugs in. I thought I fixed it with the change in how the bike ran but it's still bogging out when I hook up and the bike is trying to pill hard. Pulled the carbs and cleaned them. Pulled reeds and they appear to be fine. No chips and they are all flat with the rubber. What would cause the bike to be running fine all day and die on my way home? Maybe a clogged petcock? Blew air up into the tank and didn't see a big difference in fuel flow comming out of the tube. Switched plug caps around and nothing changed. I did happen to notice my carbs are slightly out of sync. Not hugely but still need some adjustment. Will but back in eyeball sync tonight. Right carb raises slightly before the left. The bike will start with the first kick and will sit there and idle. It lacks the throttle response I think it should habe off of idle. But still revs up. If this was your bike please give me the first couple things you would do if it was in your garage and causing you to lose sleep at night like ito causing me. What would cause it to die like that once I got off the throttle? It wouled Rev up in neutral but not in gear. To get it home I had to put it in 6th and give it no more than 1/4 throttle or it would bog.
