[email protected] Posted December 22, 2014 Report Posted December 22, 2014 Hi everyone I'm building a 4 mil motor and I'm looking for Pro design cool head stroker domes I currently have 20m domes but the piston is reaching them and pushes the head out by about 2mm .. Was going to put a spacer plate but read on the forum that it's not a prefered method of going to a 4 mil setup. PayPal ready Quote
sheerider11 Posted December 22, 2014 Report Posted December 22, 2014 Call a builder. All domes are cut different by different builders. Who ported your cylinders? They'd know best what your motor needs. Quote
[email protected] Posted December 22, 2014 Author Report Posted December 22, 2014 I bought the bike as is. it had a spacer plate, and don't know who did the port work Quote
trickedcarbine Posted December 23, 2014 Report Posted December 23, 2014 (edited) If you're taking the plate out you may need to check where everything lands as far as moving the cylinder down after removing a plate. Definitely call around to a few folks for domes. Noss is quick and has done many set ups even for other builders. That fella has cut something for just about any set up. When you call, know your deck height, piston type, desired fuel, rough elevation, and type of RPM's your machine is geared for. Edited December 23, 2014 by trickedcarbine Quote
[email protected] Posted December 23, 2014 Author Report Posted December 23, 2014 Might sound dumb but are "Noss" domes compatible with pro design ? Quote
trickedcarbine Posted December 23, 2014 Report Posted December 23, 2014 Yes, that style dome is pretty much the standard till you start messing with different cylinders. Oh, by saying what your machine is geared for, I mean what it's intended use is. Should of worded that differently. Quote
