sheerider11 Posted November 13, 2014 Report Posted November 13, 2014 Any of the chassis guys doing removable mx subframes? Mines cracked. I'm gonna get a newer frame and would like to avoid this from happening. I know there's drag style ones and I believe I may have saw one on 4wheeladdiction but I'm may be wrong. Anyone have any idea? sheerider11 Posted November 13, 2014 Author Report Posted November 13, 2014 Yeah the grab bar is a must Quote
trickedcarbine Posted November 13, 2014 Report Posted November 13, 2014 Subby with a round grab bar instead of the pointy death spike is a decent option. No need for a seperate grab bar. Quote
sheerider11 Posted November 13, 2014 Author Report Posted November 13, 2014 Good call. Maybe I'll give stellar a call tomorrow to see if they'd do a mx style. Worst case, I'll just get the tube and go over to my buddy's shop. But I'd like it done by a chassis guy. So anyone with any info speak up Quote
Burke Posted November 14, 2014 Report Posted November 14, 2014 Tim will get you squared away... he used to race MX and is a chassis guy, so he'll not only be able to get you something that functions perfectly, but looks very good doing it 1 Quote
Nieskes Posted November 14, 2014 Report Posted November 14, 2014 I have experience with custom subframe work. Let me know if you have any questions. still looks bent.... 1 Quote
sheesfast Posted November 17, 2014 Report Posted November 17, 2014 Subby with a round grab bar instead of the pointy death spike is a decent option. No need for a seperate grab bar. Pointy spike looks cool, but I'm just not feeling riding something that may impale me. Rounded parts hitting you hurt bad enough. I would definitely want a removable bar for mx though. Quote
sheerider11 Posted November 18, 2014 Author Report Posted November 18, 2014 Well 4 business days 2 voice mails and 3 phone calls to stellar and nothing. I'll give him a few more days. I'm gonna give john at JL a call tomorrow. I've talked to him about swing arms and he's really knowledgable on the mx stuff. Quote
sheesfast Posted November 18, 2014 Report Posted November 18, 2014 JL's mx swingarms look bombproof. Probably the way I'm going for my swinger. If you decide to go with him let us know how it works out. Please and thanks. Quote
