MessyJesse69
So I have a $300 budget to spend on bike parts I want to get all new bearings for the front and back and brakes and someither little stuff. But I keep comming across wheel bearings and hub bearings? I'm new to the quad game but from my experience aren't they the same? Pivot works wants $60 for the "conversion kit but I'm seeing "wheel bearing kits for $20 are they one in the same or different?
MessyJesse69
I went to bikebandit.com thank god for that website! Looks like there is a differencephalitis but can someone please confirm if I wanted to do my bearings I'd need front wheel bearings, hub bearings, and carrier bearings for the rear? Piediddy
Wheel bearings/hub bearings are the same thing. Unless you have a drag race spindle mount wheel the bearings are in the hub. And you do have rear bearings in carrier. Have you checked them to see if they are bad? Might not need any.
hoppedupandcutdown
The conversion kit is to change from the stock style sealed ball bearings to tapered bearings and races.
