detroit08111 Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 the clutch cable is fitting WAY loose and wont even engage. ive played with it for about an hour with no luck. any ideas Quote
trickedcarbine Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 (edited) If things are fresh and cable is not junk the process is as is. Un hook cable from shift actuator. Remove clutch cover. Locate adjuster in center of pressure plate. Adjust it so that when you put tension on the actuator arm so that it stops when the arrow tip on it aligns roughly with the arrow on the top case. Close up clutch cover. Re connect the cable to the actuator and lock it down to the case with the proper retainer. Adjust perch so that the lever only has a touch of play. If that ain't it, you probably have the pressure plate on the clutch indexed wrong. Also, I'm close to the metro area. PM if you need help in person. Edited October 21, 2014 by trickedcarbine 1 Quote
