ETR174 Posted October 20, 2014 Report Posted October 20, 2014 My Banshee has never really performed all that great and I am starting to wonder if the dents in my headers are the cause. I will take pictures tomorrow but is it possible? It seems like there is really no low end. Quote
Leadmonster Posted October 20, 2014 Report Posted October 20, 2014 I'd say to some point depending on how bad there dented. But I don't think a few dings will kill your bottem end. Quote
ETR174 Posted October 20, 2014 Author Report Posted October 20, 2014 I'd say in some dimensions its about 2 inches wide, maybe 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch deep Quote
Bennett131 Posted October 20, 2014 Report Posted October 20, 2014 I'm sure they are robbing you of power, just not sure if it's enough for you to actually notice. 1 Quote
03DMshee Posted October 20, 2014 Report Posted October 20, 2014 Wait a minute...arnt you the guy that was running around stating how great your bike ran??? Anyway...DMC pipes come with a decent dent in them from factory to clear the coolant hose...so im sure your fine. ..I would check your off the wall jetting first Quote
ETR174 Posted October 20, 2014 Author Report Posted October 20, 2014 Yeah that was after the timing plate advance. It doesn't have much get up and go to it. Also I have FMF's not DMC. Quote
Bennett131 Posted October 20, 2014 Report Posted October 20, 2014 He was using the DMC's as a reference, and if you added timing it should wake up the bottom end. Quote
ETR174 Posted October 20, 2014 Author Report Posted October 20, 2014 I'm starting to think I fucked that up so I will buy a timing plate by Chariot soon Quote
ETR174 Posted October 20, 2014 Author Report Posted October 20, 2014 No, advanced it by 4 degrees. I modded the stock timing plate though. Quote
ETR174 Posted October 20, 2014 Author Report Posted October 20, 2014 I didnt know where the dremel was so I said fuck it and hacked it with a grinder. Im not sure I will take the flywheel back off again. it seems like it went back down to stock timing, slower fires from the sounds of it. Quote
