Hello everyone ...

I'm new to the bhq and not sure if this is the right place for my thread ...if not then I'm sorry..

I recently bought 2nd banshee As a project and I want to start of with exhaust and was wondering if it's possible to replace the fiberglass inside the pipe with regular fiberglass insulation ?!

And is it normal to have gunk buildup inside my headers ??

^ that's probably my favorite sound. Bit louder, but sounds tits.

Otherwise, yes. R13 will work. Doesn't last long but sounds ok and quiets things down a bit. Shearer supposedly uses the same stuff his pipes are packed with for shipping. Owens Corning r13

Oh, wire wheel will clean the cores up fast!

My favorite way to clean cores is to stand them straight up and hit them with a propane torch. They ignite and all the gunk turns to ash, that you can brush off easily.
