Kendrick81 Posted September 27, 2014 Report Posted September 27, 2014 Hi all, any help would be greatly appreciated.........I had a crash a couple of days ago, and amongst the repairs I have to make is a front brake line replacement. It's the front brake cable going to the right caliper. I am using Speedlinez cable and I have no idea what length I should get. I do have +2 a-arms. I only need the one cable and am going to buy the cable from Speedlinez site, but for a single universal cable I need to know the length to buy. Does anyone know what the stock length is? And if they do will I just add two inches to that to compensate for the +2 a- arm? Thank you for looking and any help provided. Bob Quote
trickedcarbine Posted September 27, 2014 Report Posted September 27, 2014 They don't have a hotline to call? I will be in my shed tomorrow. I'll try to get a measure on what I have for length in my +2 arms Quote
Kendrick81 Posted September 27, 2014 Author Report Posted September 27, 2014 Oh wow, you don't need to go to that kind of trouble, I appreciate that.....they have a number and email I can use, but are closed now, so I was just seeing if anyone knew off the top of their head so that I can get it ordered ASAP. Thank you for your reply and so promptly. Quote
Nightmare Posted September 27, 2014 Report Posted September 27, 2014 22 inches including the fittings, I measured an old stock length steel braided line I have laying around. Quote
Kendrick81 Posted September 27, 2014 Author Report Posted September 27, 2014 Hey thanks Nightmare, is that 22" stock or what I should have with the +2, or are they the same either way? Sorry..... don't know much about these things but I love it! Any thoughts on replacement? Is there a process to go through after I replace the cable in the front or just tighten bolts and nuts and top of the fluid and get goin? Quote
Nightmare Posted September 27, 2014 Report Posted September 27, 2014 Yes, that's stock length. I think I added 2 1/2 for my +2's from what I remember. Only thing you'll need to do is bleed them and go. Quote
