austin123sharon
I'm currently using 18inch tires on my 8inch beadlocks. I have stock gearing and have a 4 mill, trail port, 2-1 carb, FMF fattys, 19cc domes with 178psi compression on 110 octane, and bored .060 over. I used to have 20inch tires and recently switched to the 18 and was wondering since I lost out on top end speed, should I go up 1 tooth on the front to go back to feeling like how it was before? My shee topped out at 87 before and it seems to top out much quicker now. I only got the 18's cause they were 50$.
Pasi S.
Yep. Front sprockets are cheap. Go 15-41 first and see how it feels. After that you can fine adjust it with a 40 or 39 rear. Or you can try 16-41.. Go to a main page and find that "gearing calculator" it´s very helpfull.
hoppedupandcutdown
you'd need a 15/40 to get back to where you were. http://www.currieenterprises.com/cestore/calculators/gearRatiofromTireSize.htm
