If that *ding* in the pictures is what he's talking about being *quarter sized* it will affect performance. The belly of the pipe plays the role of the expansion chamber. Its what allows the gasses to expand and cool, creating a lower pressure in that portion of the pipe relative to the pressure in the crank case, and allowing the scavenging process to begin. Quote

camatv Posted November 20, 2003 Report Posted November 20, 2003 hey i think that i have a set of those old school fattys they had these weird azz silencers that had solid rear section w/no end cap i sold the silencers w/ a set of paul turners i had and got a set of used turbine core 1's and yea they feel like they rev'd out about as long as my pro circuits and talk about fun waxing guys w t-6--650 dollar pipes with these old azz well designed fmf's!!!!!! hell i even got a few cpi bikes (but they didnt have any port work though so no problem) i am trying to get about 160 for them... cheap pipes/used is a good way to get a set and see what you like w/out spending a lot o $$$$ Quote

Well like I said before I can clean them, but if you look at it the dent isn't at the bottom of the pipe so I don't think it will affect the performance. Quote

Now they look like 200 hundred dollar pipes!!!! The dent however looks worse in the picture than it really does. Over all I got a smokin deal! Quote
