Kickstart Lever Stuck/Will Not Swivel Out

Will the rebuild kit with the spring/ball bearing fix this??? DoI need to use grease around spring and bearing?

Spray it with WD40 really good and get it free. You can continue doing that multiple times or rebuild it. If it doesn't rattle just keep it lubed up.

Take it apart and pack with grease.

I was having the same problem last week. I had to put a wrench on mine to twist it out. I bought a rebuild kit off ebay for about $5. I needed a punch screw driver to get the screw out cause I stripped it trying by hand. After I rebuilt, better than brand new. No rattle. Twists right out and after I kick it, it folds right in on its own. Its well worth the $5 and 10 minutes it took to rebuild it.

Can you twist it the other way towards the motor? You can put the little levers on the wrong way. I did this once and checked it again just as I was about to put it back on my bike and it was on the wrong way.

The top swivel part can be put on wrong. There is a stop on that part so it won't go out more and you put it on wrong it will swivel open the wrong way.
