First Trip to Little Sahara

Hi Guys,
 
Just bought a purpose built dune bike from a former member here and planning a trip to LS (pic attached if it works).  

 

How strict are they at LS with the 10 ft. flag height requirement?  RMATV sells 6 ft. flags which would come up a bit short to the requirement.  Should I chance it and just get a 6 ft. flag or suck it up and pay 3x as much for an 8 ft. flag from LS Sand Sports?

They aren't expensive at LS.

I was told they're $30.... $10 at RMATV.  I'm buying for a group of guys all going which is why I ask.  I wouldn't care so much if it was just $20 extra for me.

I'll tell you this. If your flag doesn't hit the pole, you're not going through. So that's up to you. It's just a 1 time purchase.

Forgot about that 1yr and they stopped me. The flag can't have writing on it. Must be solid.

That's exactly what I wanted to know, whether or not they actually checked on the 10 ft. status.  If there's a bar you have to hit on the way through that's pretty cut and dry.

The gas station on the south end of Waynoka sells flags, and they are a bit cheaper there, than at the dunes.

Very nice bike btw.  I am also in Hutchinson, KS.... well actually I'm in NY but I keep my toys in Hutchinson at my parent's house and ride them when I visit a few times/year.

If you buy at the dunes, save the receipt, it has a warranty against breaking.
