I was just looking on Boyesen's website for some reeds when I noticed that they now make rad valves for bigger carbs. I think it was for 36-40mm carbs. Just wondering if anyone knew this and if anyone has tried them. Just curious if these would fair better against vf cages or not.

Hmmmm...... That is interesting! I used to love my rad valves for my old trail only bikes years ago. They just weren't able to flow what today's hot 4mm motors do. The originals delivered insane low end and throttle response. I'd be anxious to see these tried against any VF or even the chariots.

the old a models were larger for larger carb setups.  the b's were setup to stuff the stock intakes and make a lot of velocity and less low end cc ratio..  i liked them a lot also.  the og a's are very rare.  i have a set here.

havent seen the new? larger 40mm style?  i always liked the rad valve for the aluminum material construction.   i have a set off a 250r i am going to modify for a cheeta.

all other rad valves are that way. might be a nice option for a cub? be interesting to see a comparison to an intake with v4 and these.

Hmm, only ones I saw were like this.

I like that they eliminate the need/cost for a manifold, and it is also one less gasket. How is the carb placement on the newer style stuff?
