After, but I think it has died on me once while riding it and it was the stator that caused it. The flywheel cover seal was on and the cover was tight so I'm not sure how water got in there; I do have the little rubber seal next to the sprocket, not sure exactly what it's called but it's there.

reason I ask, I know a buddy of mine replaced his cdi, coil, flywheel, plug caps, voltage regulator, and his bike would still start sometimes, and sometimes not. replaced his wiring harness and it fixed it. idk if he had a bad spot he was to dumb, drunk, or high to see but that was his problem.

I'm 99% positive that it's the stator. I've personally gone through the wire harness twice, swapped cdi, coil and all the other goodies just to have it be the brand new stator I bought. My question is if the stator gets wet is it done for or can you dry it out?

Is it an oem stator ???

No. I bought the quad and it already had a crappy aftermarket one, which I replaced with another crappy aftermarket one. I didn't except much out of it but I figured it last more than one ride.
