b_a_n_s_h_e_e Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 I just got a lot of motor work done along with a new heavy duty clutch, and for some reason when the motor is running I can't find neutral It's kind of annoying because as soon as I turn it off I can pop in in neutral like nothin'!!! Any ideas of what the deal is? Quote
dlnoss Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 Is the clutch disengaging all the way? Quote
b_a_n_s_h_e_e Posted November 17, 2003 Author Report Posted November 17, 2003 yes the clutch is disengaging all the way...or at least I belive it is because it doesn't move when I put it in gear... Quote
boonman Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 When you try to shift into neutral from first gear, does it always go to second? Quote
thebloker Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 If you had alot of motor work done, do you know if they ground down the shift star? I ground mine down but decided I don't have the proper equipment to do the backcut for the neutral, so I didn't do it. Now whenever the motor is running, I basically have no neutral, but I can get it every time once the motor is stopped. I never really used neutral once it's running, so it was never really an issue for me. Quote
