Vforce 2 reed problems

I've been trying to figure out my reeds for a while now. They wiggle around when everything's tightened down. I'm confused cause I don't know what's wrong. I surfed the internet and found something I've never seen on my reeds ( http://67.199.65.66/cascade_innovations/newlook/store/store_View.cfm?STORE_AREA_ID=13&store_dept_id=619 ) the bottom ones are for my reeds. I don't know if that's the problem. Is that what holds down the reed cage?

Are your reed cages moving or reed pedals moving? Those are gaskets in your link. one set between cage and cylinders and one set between cage and intakes. You HAVE to use the gaskets or you will have air leaks (very bad)

On the VForce 2, you have to use those gaskets between the reeds and the intake boot, to keep the middle cage part from rattling around in the outer frame. You use ordinary gaskets between the reeds and the cylinder. Be sure to do a leakdown test after it's assembled.

I have several sets of VF2s and I didn't know there was a special gasket. I bought them all used. I don't run those big gaskets. Maybe I need to.

I'm hoping you mean the middle section of the reed. That is done with proper assembly like those ^ fine folks mentioned above.

 

If you mean the whole cage wiggles between the manifold an cylinder, you would need shorter bolts.

Ha, same here except have only had one set. I happened across VF2 specific gasket kit and put two and two together.
