Jeff1.8t Posted May 8, 2014 Report Posted May 8, 2014 Can the tors system still interfere if the wires are disconnected? My left side carb was leaving out the overflow I fixed the leak but took off both carbs to clean, put everything back together and it won't star unless you spray some break clean on the filter to get it going. It would start with one kick before and idol great. The carb choke tube is on, no air leaks, compression is good. The right side will missfire like it's running lean, when I spray break clean in the right carb it runs better. Seems like a fuel issue, I have the tors disconnected from the carb wire and black box that's it. Can it still interfere? Quote
sstaton1983 Posted May 8, 2014 Report Posted May 8, 2014 I doubt it's the tors. make sure slides are in correctly, did you swap bowls? make sure the jets are clean.... Quote
Bennett131 Posted May 8, 2014 Report Posted May 8, 2014 check reeds too make sure they aren't chipped or anything mine ended up just needing the mufflers repacked...just something to think about Quote
Jeff1.8t Posted May 8, 2014 Author Report Posted May 8, 2014 Everything is clean in the carb, didn't check the reeds because I figure what is the point because it ran great before and didn't even go near the reeds. But what if the bowls were switch what would that have affect? Quote
sstaton1983 Posted May 8, 2014 Report Posted May 8, 2014 one bowl is set up for the choke... if you look in the bottom of the left side bowl you will see a passage with a check ball down in it if i am remembering correctly. Quote
Jeff1.8t Posted May 8, 2014 Author Report Posted May 8, 2014 I think your talking about the carb choke tube and yea that's on right Quote
