erbilabuc Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 I got my -2 swingarm on but now my silencers touch the ground instead of my grab bar. I am wondering if the PRM Baja or deser grab bars come back enough to help me with this problem. All i need is a grab bar that is about 2 inches farther back then stock. thanks pipes are fmf sst's with the core 2's Quote
MULLET~BOY Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 um -2 swing arm dousn't have anything to do with silincers or a grab bar nothing should have changed can you explain when your silincers touch the ground Quote
H300F Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 in a wheelie? I think the six pack racks hang way off. Quote
txblueshee Posted November 14, 2003 Report Posted November 14, 2003 I got the dg beer rack and fmf pipe setup. My silencers are a WAYS from the ground. I'm sure the PRM would fix it though. Fro, The shortened swingarm makes it to were your grab bar hits at a different angle( more towards the underside) so I see were the silencers would scrape w/a stock grab bar. Mike Quote
H300F Posted November 14, 2003 Report Posted November 14, 2003 I have a PRM. Im not sure what one but its almost like the stock bar. I will measure how much further it sticks out tomorrow. Quote
erbilabuc Posted November 14, 2003 Author Report Posted November 14, 2003 um -2 swing arm dousn't have anything to do with silincers or a grab bar nothing should have changed can you explain when your silincers touch the ground because when you tilt your shee on its azz the grab bar and the back wheels are what is actually holding it. If you shorten the swing arm 2 inches then it is putting the rear end at a greater angle and therefore the silencers are exposed to damage because the grab bar cannot do its job any more. Quote
Banchetta Posted November 14, 2003 Report Posted November 14, 2003 Don't put it on its grab bar......W/ the -2, wheelies are easy as hell and don't have to go back as far...If you have to put it on its grab bar to load into a truck, the a longer grab bar won't work, the shee will fall back down.. ledofthezep Posted November 14, 2003 Report Posted November 14, 2003 I have a stock grab bar, -2 arm, ProC silencers...and don't have that problem. Guess I've not noticed how farther the PC2's stick out... Quote
boonman Posted November 14, 2003 Report Posted November 14, 2003 I have an AC baja bar. Or whatever it's called. and a -2 arm. Here is a pic. or two... My silencers don't hit. I tip the shee up to wash it. no problems..... And I don't ever hit the grab bar in a wheelie. Quote
erbilabuc Posted November 14, 2003 Author Report Posted November 14, 2003 thanks boonman, I found out the dg wide bar is 1-2 inches longer to the rear then stock so thats what Im going with. All I need is like half an inch Quote
