10milmike Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 (edited) If you run this you will never have any problem. But its not cheap. Just think of it this way. Spend the extra money and down the road you will not need too. I have ran them all. ATF type F vs Royal Purple. Royal purple wins hands down. RagunCajun Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 And on the same note, I beat the piss out my duneable override for years with zero problemw with atf f. Quote
10milmike Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 ATF works good. But this works way better. Beat the piss out my my clutch with a 120hp on asphalt slipping the shit out of the clutch with very little clutch pressure compared to you dune guys. This holds heat like no other. Had to change ATF after a full day. Maybe 10 passes. It was spent. I have 3 tracks days on this and its still shifts fine. Holds heat alot better then ATF. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy note 3 Quote
BUILDER Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 If you are using ATF it simply does not last very long. I have ran it before on my 421 and I got tired of changing it all the time because it was burned up. Really depends on riding style but spend the money for good oil and change it once a season. 1 Quote
RagunCajun Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 Once a season sounds way better. Didnt know better stuff lasted that long Quote
possum Posted March 29, 2014 Report Posted March 29, 2014 But, but, Ford made type F for their trannnys, and they go thousands of miles so it must be the best for a banshee. (sarcasm).. And Mike you know I agree with the purple or klotz. both very good oils. Quote
RagunCajun Posted March 29, 2014 Report Posted March 29, 2014 What's other types types besides bell ray gear saver and royal purple mike posted? Ill see if i have to go to my local bike dealership to get them or i can go to another store. I'm going to get rid of the atf f in my yz250 as well. Quote
