pancake bearing question

Needing to get one for my wifes dragger. stock basket, hub, and pressure plate. It does have a lock up and extended cover. Heres my next question. I have this pancake bearing (pic below) that i tried putting in my other motor. It has a Hinson basket and pressure plate. the pancake bearing seems too thick and the pressure plate wont seat all the way. Like there just not enough room between the pressure plate and the clutch shaft. By looking at the stock pressure plate it sits down in the center there where the pancake bearing goes, and the hinson is flat in that area. Do they make a thinner bearing?

Usually pressure plate not seating is cause its not lined up. stock has arrows i think hinson has a dot. i have full hinsons with pancake bearings in a couple motors no problems.

And I hope you're not putting the pancake bearing in the way you have it in the pic. It needs to go washer-bearing-washer.

I bought a motor that it was in it like that. Like it is in the pic there is a washer under the bearing. So your saying i need to move the washer to the other side of the bearing?

There needs to be a washer on each side of the bearing. So, billet aluminum piece-washer-bearing-washer-pressure plate. You don't want the rollers rolling on aluminum.

Pretty common for the washer to stick to the pressure plate after it's coated in oil. I bet if you look on the outer plate it is still on the back side.
