wheeleymaster99 Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 i run 40:1 with castor 927 but i think 32:1 would be good if you dont have many mods Quote
00Jake Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 I have a 2000 with Toomey t5 pipes, Toomey Radiator, stainless impeller, amp link, I removed the airbox and had the carbs drilled outand run straght k&n filters. I ride very hard and lots of dune riding, I have been mixing a 32:1 ratio since 2000 and I am still on the original piston. It still runs very very strong and starts on the first kick. I usally run Yamaha 2r oil... Quote
94BansheeRider Posted November 18, 2003 Report Posted November 18, 2003 I run 32:1 but 40:1 is good also. I use Super M synthetic. Quote
kenr74 Posted November 18, 2003 Report Posted November 18, 2003 i dont know where you got the 24:1 from 24:1 is what Yamaha recommends for the break in period. I run 32:1 now just to be safe but it's probably overkill. Quote
illboogie Posted November 19, 2003 Report Posted November 19, 2003 i run 40:1 just fine with no problems Quote
