Blacksmith Posted November 11, 2003 Report Posted November 11, 2003 Simply remove the switch from the clutch lever assy, and then unplug it from the wiring harness. This will fix your problem Quote
Leadfoot350 Posted November 11, 2003 Report Posted November 11, 2003 Also take off the little black box under the gas tank on the left side of the bike. Thats about it. Quote
SICK BOY Posted November 11, 2003 Report Posted November 11, 2003 I never took the black box off, does it need to be?What does it do? Quote
Bigairee Posted November 11, 2003 Report Posted November 11, 2003 I believe you should not have connected the 2 wires you cut. Here is a wiring diagram of the circuit. Quote
boonman Posted November 11, 2003 Report Posted November 11, 2003 If you unplug the black box under the tank, which is adjacent to the ignition coil. This will completely disable the TORS system. Quote
Justintoxicated Posted November 11, 2003 Report Posted November 11, 2003 I left my tors in tackt. SDD put a new clutch lever on my shee which removed the parking break lever, cable and the parking beak near the brake disc was replaced with a parking break block off (nice shiny billet one) Total cost was about $50...I still have my TORS in tact untill I change carbs, I have never had a problem with it OTHER than with the parking brake part of it. Blacksmith Posted November 12, 2003 Report Posted November 12, 2003 While I hate to disagree with what anyone posts, I have to say that I don't think you really want to connect the two wires that run to the parking brake lever. If you use a meter you will see that this circut is open when the lever is not pulled back. Closing the circut will make the bike think that the lever has been pulled. Quote
Leadfoot350 Posted November 12, 2003 Report Posted November 12, 2003 dont connect anything just remove the black box. Less weight too!!!!!!! Quote
