Circle clips (tranny)

Do these have to be full or are they only halves ? Can I assemble the motor this way or no ?

You can put a full clip on the big bearing if your case is grooved on the top. Im not sure why but not all years have the groove on top.

I always ran a full clip on mine, Im sure its over kill but why not? I have had a few different cases in my hands and some are not grooved on top only reason I said that.

if it has both groves i ran the clips offset also.  when running 2 clips best to use brand new ones. plus there is a straight edge and a rounded edge..  run them together..  just what i have done. maybe overkill  who knows..  you can also run a full circlip all the way around the bearing like the fully clipped crankshafts.

Yes, the same clip you put on the crank works on the tranny.

Some full circle circlips are too tall for the groove and the cases won't seat all the way together.

Well ya that's what I was wondering, cause I saw the top case and was like fuck do these need to be full circlips but if they don't than forget it

You can buy another clip to run 2 in the crank and tranny big bearings. I try to set them in do that the clips go up and down through both case halves.

1 clip for pussy trail stuff, 2 clips or full clip for aggressive shit. It helps on 80 HP+ motors with helical gears to.
