ballzout Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Does anyone know where I can get a set of replacement screws for the flywheel cover. Not sure if that is what it is called ? It is on the left side. Black plastic cover with several different shaped screws. The ones that came on the bike are in bad shap, I would rather not put them back on. Thanks Quote
Big Herb Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Try doing a search for "banshee parts" on google and look for a place called xtreme powersports, they have an OEM parts finder that has the diagram breakdowns of all the parts in different categories and then a parts order split screen below. Actually here you go I remembered I had it easily accesible: http://216.37.204.206/xtremepowersports/Partsfinder.htm hope it helps Bull Quote
cb67rs1 Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 i have the part number if you want them , you will need 4 of these- 98507-06055-00 and 3 of these 98507-06020-00, you will have to get them at the local dealer. hope that helps, or you can go to the local parts store and match up some metric bolts to put in it Quote
kenr74 Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Don't waste your money on OEM screws. They are soft and strip too easy. Just go down to your hardware store and pick up some allen heads or get on eBay and get the whole set. Quote
SICK BOY Posted November 8, 2003 Report Posted November 8, 2003 You can get a complete stainless steel set (all bolts for both side covers) from vitos for $15.95.They have a web site www.vitosperformance.net Quote
Justintoxicated Posted November 8, 2003 Report Posted November 8, 2003 I got both kits (stator side and clutch cover side) from alba last night, they have hexes so stripping should not be a problem anymore. I think they were like 7 or 8 $ each. Quote
Bansherydr Posted November 9, 2003 Report Posted November 9, 2003 You should be able to go to the hardware store and buy replacement stainless steel allen head bolts to replace all those worthless OEM screws. Take the screws to the store if your not sure what to buy and thread them into the thread sizers (most hardward stores have these). They're metric, i forgot the thread pattern. Determine what thread pattern you need with the sizers. Then all you need to do is find the stainless allen heads with that thread pattern and match up the lenghts. Much cheaper than the kits and you can do screws that some of the kits don't provide bolts for. I actually had trouble finding the right size stainless bolts on the stator side (the long ones I couldn't find) and landed up buying chrome ones that were 5mm longer than OEM and they fit. Quote
Justintoxicated Posted November 10, 2003 Report Posted November 10, 2003 I got both kits (stator side and clutch cover side) from alba last night, they have hexes so stripping should not be a problem anymore. I think they were like 7 or 8 $ each. I ment for each kit, they are threaded correctly. I jsut installe dthem yesterday they look much better than stock and use hexes that are the same size as the ones that come stock on the reed cages. Quote

Bolt Kits I wonder if he ever found those bolts... 431443[/snapback] I wish I knew where these freakers were getting their bolts to sell you guys. I get them from a fairly large supplier, and I buy quite a bit of them, but my COST is more that what otheres are selling them for. Amazing. Quote
98bonerSTOCKshee Posted November 1, 2005 Report Posted November 1, 2005 In the past I have just gone to the local supplier for my misc. nuts and bolts, but I don't think I could get all 7 for $6.. Unless I buy in bulk. was as surprised as you! Quote
RNBRAD Posted November 1, 2005 Report Posted November 1, 2005 alloyboltz.com has every bolt for the banshee except the upper a-arm bolts. Call Russ and tell him what you need, he's a good guy to deal with! Quote
