Maxfield84 Posted November 26, 2013 Report Posted November 26, 2013 Hey all, First time poster, long time Banshee fan. Well, I finally pulled the trigger and bought myself one. After searching online for a while, I finally found a bike that's a good price and will be a good foundation, for a quality rebuild I plan on doing over the winter. My goals are to build a nice, mechanically sound bike, that has a good amount of power, but not a drag bike. I will be using this thread to document the process with pictures and information. I'm sure I will have plenty of questions and I look forward to your comments along the way. Here is the bike before I did anything with it. Quote
Denny2424 Posted November 26, 2013 Report Posted November 26, 2013 Nice bike. Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk 1 Quote

Maxfield84 Posted November 26, 2013 Author Report Posted November 26, 2013 Because I've always wanted a Banshee, I'm taking my time and doing everything right. So far, I tore it down and got the frame powder coated and replaced all the old bolts with a stainless steel kit. I replaced all the brake lines with new OEM ones. All bearings and seals are on the way and will be installed once I get them. I replaced the coolant system with a new radiator and hoses. Quote
Maxfield84 Posted November 26, 2013 Author Report Posted November 26, 2013 Anybody know what type of pipes these might be? Quote
Maxfield84 Posted November 26, 2013 Author Report Posted November 26, 2013 Those are shearers. Thanks... Next question, what do people think of them? Quote
Nieskes Posted November 26, 2013 Report Posted November 26, 2013 All depends on what you are running for a motor, and what type of riding you do. Quote
troyzstang Posted November 26, 2013 Report Posted November 26, 2013 We think you need to sell them........ To me Welcome to BansheeHQ Troy 1 Quote
Maxfield84 Posted November 26, 2013 Author Report Posted November 26, 2013 All depends on what you are running for a motor, and what type of riding you do. The problem is, I bought the bike from a guy selling it for his son who's over seas. I believe the motor is stock internally, but I'm not sure. It runs strong and has good compression so I don't want to open it up at this moment. Not sure what size the carbs are, I guess I can measure them and see. I kind of want an all around bike that's good for just about everything. Quote
Maxfield84 Posted November 26, 2013 Author Report Posted November 26, 2013 I got some LSR +2 +1 A-arms on the way too. I got a really good deal on them so I decided to pick them up. I'll post picks when I get them on. Quote

With pipes and carbs like that....I'd be surprised if it's all stock internally. Quote
RagunCajun Posted November 26, 2013 Report Posted November 26, 2013 Thanks... Next question, what do people think of them? one of the best drag pipes available. More suited for drag racing. if you want out of frames, you have a great set of pipes. With the proper port work(if you dont have any already) the engine really makes some great power. Quote
