Been going through my bike and have a new electrical issue I can't figure out so I think it's time to just re wire it all and do a heavy duty ground. Any one in michigan have a spare 97+ harness and CDI I could come buy this weekend?

What is the issue you're having Tricked?

Weak spark, just spits and burps when ya kick it. Recently did a freshen up and it doesn't wanna fire. I just went through some of it last winter now it's jankin again. Been through most of the usual test and checking of stuff. Even swapped some parts. CDI and my old butchered harness are the last two variables. Jus hoping to find someone with a nice spare I can buy.

I re-wired my entire electrical system, all new wire, with Weatherpack male/female automotive connectors (2, 3, and 4 terminal)... I would start there if I were you... In my experience CDI's don't fail and still work... They usually just fail and thats it... Go to Harbor Freight and by the wire caddy they have, it has all the wire you'll need, and UAS (United Auto Supply) has the Weatherpack connectors..

Also make 100% sure ALL of your ground connections are clean (bare metal) and are lightly dielectric greased... Including your coil mounts...

Yeah, I looked at the wire caddy. A couple things on the bike already have GM weather pak connectors but I have been sure it's time to just re wire it and if I can make my own harness for less I will

Which united auto supply are you referring to? A guy told me about a place in Livonia with weather pack connectors, other wise I'll just grab them online as most of my searching is bulk distributors.
