Id like to ship my motor off to have a new top end put in, have the shift star mod done, and get a little more extensive port job done. I want it to be a boarder line dragger but with good reliability. Kind of a sleeper. I dont want an over ride Or alky I want a reliable gas banshee that could maybe keep up with my crf/ex 520 alky/nitro hybrid. It has 28mm pwks and T5s but im going to probably run bigger carbs and definitely selling the T5s and buying CPI inframes Quote

sheerider11 Posted September 13, 2013 Report Posted September 13, 2013 Do the shift star. You won't need anything else. I run a 4DM with a stock trans besides shift star and it shifts just the same as when it was stock under full power. My buddies 421 is the same. Unless you're strictly drag racing, then maybe try a full override If you do the shift star, which is dirt cheap, and you don't just drag race. It should work fine. then your lucky. I have a modded trans in my bike because I basically lost all shifting once I started to run a little power threw the trans. Quote
