Starwriter Posted August 15, 2013 Report Posted August 15, 2013 They're around for a lot cheaper than that. I sold one for locally for $20. Here's 1 for $15. As mentioned, you could cut 1 and add a piece. Just cleaner and easier to use 2 kickers. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=169409 Quote
Strm Trpr Posted August 16, 2013 Author Report Posted August 16, 2013 I put up a WTB ad. I'm going to go the welding route. Quote

Go to your local welding supply place and ask about it. I have had great luck with this stuff. You can get it stick or tig. I have mostly used it TIG but have used the stick stuff a couple times to extract bolts broken off down inside a hole. Quote
NYUK Posted August 17, 2013 Report Posted August 17, 2013 better heat the cast kicker up cherry red before you try to weld it. Quote
rubberneck Posted August 17, 2013 Report Posted August 17, 2013 If its cast steel, the above welding rod will weld it without preheating. If it was cast iron you should use MG200. However i dont think its cast iron. I dont have my bike here to throw a magnet on it to find out Quote

Strm Trpr Posted August 18, 2013 Author Report Posted August 18, 2013 Thanks for the tip rubberneck. I really don't think it's cast iron it has to be die forged or something. http://www.prosna.com/die-forging-process.html Where you at in central ca? Quote
