Jetting

Hey guys im wondering if I have to buy new jets or do I just have to adjust the jets I have. Right now im stock on a milled head and fmf pipes. The jetting is perfect, but I will be putting Vforce3 reeds and dual k&n filters to the stock mikuni's. So I was wondering if I had to buy new jets for about 60 bucks or can I just adjust the jets I have right now? Any help would be gladly appreciated, thanks.

jets are not adjustable, you have to change them.  there are 2 mainjets and 2 pilots at about $4 each

 

I would start with 27.5 pilots and 280 mains for your setup.

$60 bucks in jets!? Thats ridiculous, who do you get jets from and are they made of gold? Call/ email any site sponsor and they can help you. Everyone has their preference...I like dealing with Brandon @ Wildcard Racing. Hes a great dude to deal with.

I seen full Jet kits for 60 on ebay.. my fault. But if its just those that need to be changed then its all good. Thanks guys. I don't have to changed the needle jet?

It's called tuning. Only you can decide if it needs the clip changed. There is a sticky titled "What jets are you running" or something like that. Find it, find set-ups simular to yours and get a range of jets. Such as 290, 300, 310 + maybe 320. Start rich and work your way down with either plug chops or reading plugs.
