coryv4 Posted May 24, 2013 Report Share Posted May 24, 2013 im having a little trouble with my 96 f250. truck has a 460 with 98k miles. the problem im having is it wont shift automatically i have to go first second drive then press the over drive. if i put it in drive it will run first gear but wont shift. if i put it in drive with od on it will just barely creep forward no matter the amount of throttle. ive been told numerous things that could be wrong but i want to see if it is something more simple before i get a complete rebuild. ive heard some say its the solenoid, but i dont know.
