On my first trip to Winchester Bay OR I blew the motor by keeping it at the same RPM too long (learned my lesson to keep load on the motor)

New top end and replaced those horrible handle bars.

 

Here's a pic of the bar setup I'm running.

I love the new set up however I would like +2 inches of rise. Besides a steering stem, any other options?

For a bit more rise at the bars you could try a CR high bend type of bar. Maybe some risers? Ultimately a stem would be best but I get that it's a big investment. Just keep peeking on eBay and the for sale section and you may just come accross a great deal.
