the route you take to Gordon's Well from PX

go I-10 to Quartzsite then go south on 95 to Yuma. stay on the main road through Yuma until innerstate 8, then go west (right turn) on I-8. the Gordon Wells exit is about 18-20 miles from Yuma. exit the Gordon Well's off ramp and make a right then another right so you are heading back east. it's a nasty road then some dirt, at the dumsters it curvs left. follow that road to the bridge and go over the canal and you will see the paystations. pay your extorshion fees then follow my signs of paper plats marked BHQ. I will also have a four foot sign that will be staked in the sand facing the bridge at camp.

when comming from Yuma on I-8 it will look like you have passed the dunes on the hwy but the Gordon's Well exit is the next one.

I will post a pix of the sign I am making tomorrow.

how does that sound ?

I hope I didn't confuse anyone, sometimes I do that.

Depends on what part of the valley you are coming from.

If you are south of I10, Mesa, Chandler, Tempe, you take I10 South and take the exit for Maricopa. Just before Maricopa, turn right on highway 238, this will dump you in Gila Bend. Follow the signs to get on I8 towards Yuma. Stay on I8 until you see the exit for Gordons Well, about 30miles West of Yuma.

If you are in Phoenix, or the West Valley, take I10 towards LA, then take the exit for Gila Bend. Once you get to Gila Bend, the directions are the same as above.

jethro looks around and starts crying thinking about how much alky he would use going 11 miles

Get a Radio Flyer, and tie a drum of alky to it, then tie the little red wagon to your banshee. I can't see it using more than around 45 gallons in the sand. :o:P:huh::o;)

I made it from Ogilby to the Glamis Store via Olds and bowling all over on one tank of gas. I took my pre-mix oil with me in a baggie so I could just buy gas at the Store. Worked out really really well!!! :) I have T-5's but no engine work done........so....that might help you guys out a little. I didn't even hit reserve, although I did bog it the whole way along the sand hiway in 5th gear.....still kicked the 400ex's butts! :) Bogging I think helped to conserve the gas....I hit the powerpand in the bowls, though.......it's a super fun trip to Glamis from Ogilby!!!! I'll be there Thanksgiving guys - look for a blond on a Banshee running two whips! ;)
