Uf21 Posted May 7, 2013 Report Posted May 7, 2013 I bought some 0000 grade steel wool and a tube of metal/chrome polish. Im kind of lost as to what I do first. Do I just wet the exhaust then scrub with the steel wool and afterwards apply the polish and clean off with a clean rag? Also I have bluing around the tips of the header. Whats the best way to remove it? Quote
hoppedupandcutdown Posted May 7, 2013 Report Posted May 7, 2013 I've always used 0000 wet with a little Dawn dish detergent first. Rinse and dry off then polish with a soft cloth. Only thing I've ever found to remove blueing is Blueaway. 1 Quote

Also would any dish washing detergent work? Would the steel wool remove the spots that have melted off my Mx pants onto the exhaust? Quote
ginger Posted May 7, 2013 Report Posted May 7, 2013 i just used the steel wood without any moisture. and it worked fine. 1 Quote
