Bought new plugs. Do I gap them and if so to what??

I would suggest consulting the manual for what yamaha recommends. You should always check the gap when you buy new sparkplugs. As far as if you have engine work done, what i would suggest is consult a reputable builder.

I always ran them straight out of the box on gas. Not sayin that's the correct way, but Ive done it for over 20 years.

Usually no need to gap. if they seem okay run them as is. is the box is fucked up by a different plug.

i would recommend the solid tip ones. one less thing to worry about

Or be sure and tighten the the tops of the plugs. Always.
