BUILDER Posted May 1, 2013 Report Posted May 1, 2013 Porting a stock motor is one of the best ways to improve your stock motor! Talk to some site sponsors on here and you will learn alot about what you want to do for the riding you do. You can see massive improvments with porting on a stock motor! Quote
sheerider11 Posted May 1, 2013 Report Posted May 1, 2013 The guy you talked to is a fucking idiot Quote
CAJUN BANSHEE Posted May 1, 2013 Report Posted May 1, 2013 Is (this guy) a local builder round your parts or a riding buddy? Hopefully a riding buddy. Quote
Dick Dragon Posted May 2, 2013 Report Posted May 2, 2013 I bet he also told you paddles are a waste in sand! Quote
trickedcarbine Posted May 2, 2013 Report Posted May 2, 2013 Porting is the best power gain you will ever see except for massive displacement increases with aftermarket cylinders. Even then you port those cylinders. There are tons of bolt ons you can do that only net you ok gains. Take that same motor and port it and you have a new fucking animal on your hands. Port work on these bikes is like doing heads, cam, intake on an LS motor. Quote
springer Posted May 2, 2013 Report Posted May 2, 2013 porting is a waste of time. take the silencers off and take every other tooth off the sprocket to reduce rotating mass... done Quote
