banshee0074 Posted April 27, 2013 Report Posted April 27, 2013 ok i have spent the last year saving the moey to build a nice motor for the duns i put a wsm crank in it along with race port work milled head tdr intake and reeds and 34 mikuni flat slides carbs it starts right up but ides high but it wouldnt reve up air screw was 2 turns out i put 40 pilot 360 mains and the clip is in the middle i live in kansas city mo any ides Quote

fastbanshee8 Posted April 27, 2013 Report Posted April 27, 2013 If you have a Q-2 dump tube in them, you need to order the Q-0 dump tubes, and change them out. That's one thing I had to do to mine, to get them to run right. Talk to Jeff at Fast Racing. He can steer you in the right direction. Quote
RadarRacing Posted April 27, 2013 Report Posted April 27, 2013 I dunno where you got those carbs but I think 360 is much bigger than what we ran in 34mm flatslides. Talk to Jeff at FAST if you want but if I remember right 250 or 260 mains were what 34mm flatslides. As far as it not idling down that may be the slides not going all the way down. Quote
oldskool Posted April 28, 2013 Report Posted April 28, 2013 I got some 34TM's I using with twist throttle. I found that these carbs need just a little more cable than my stock carbs. Try adjusting your cable, then sync again Quote
dirtydownunder Posted April 28, 2013 Report Posted April 28, 2013 yeh 360 is massive. 250-280 is where they run. what size motor ? bike will still work with q2-389 dumps tubes (emulsion tubes( they are the brass jett the needle slides into)), q0-389 is what was recommended to me from wildcard racing. who did you buy the stuff off ? banshee0074 Posted April 28, 2013 Author Report Posted April 28, 2013 stock clyinders race port milled head pistons i think are 40 over the squash is 030 it got good compression foot hurts lol i bought everything from tdr the port work was h&h extreme bike starts right up when u screw the air screw in it idols better and im to push the throdle u have a little bit before it starts cutting out Quote
