Installed some new pads on the front of my bike, now when I spin the hub you can here it rubbing. So I took pads off, and scuffed them up a little to see if they were just a little thicker then normal. That didn't work, so I did the same to the rotor to get some of the build up off (which was not much) put it back together and still having same issues. Any ideas or suggestions?

I had the same problem last night putting mine together. I found that I need to clean the caliber slide and really lube up the slide and problem went away. Hope this help out.

Use a c clamp and slowly compressor the caliper.. Watch your rezzy as it will rise.. Pump brakes.. Repeat.. Its been a good while since the piston in the caliper has worked in the position a new set of pads puts it in.. Work it some and it may free up..

try checking your brake fluid level.  ive seen it before on cars where someone added fluid when the fluid was low (cause the pads were almost gone causing more fluid to be in the lines and calipers) and when new pads on got put on it did the same thing that your having problems with.....

That's how they are supposed to work. When you apply the brakes the only thing that really releases them is the slight amount of unnoticeable warpage in the rotor. You wouldn't want them out away from the rotor. Then you'd have a lag when you cram on the brakes or you'd have to double pump it. That could be bad.

If u haven't already first time u ride it take it out and ride the brakes just a little then do a few speed up and then slam on em hard stops. Help seat the pads to the rotors.

Yea it all makes since, I guess I just didn't notice it from before.

You didn't notice it because the old pads were glaze matched to the rotor. Once you get out and ride it, the new pads will break in, and that will stop. It happens on cars ALL the time.. A couple hard stops and it glazes back up, dragging noise gone. I literally do 5 brake jobs a day, on average. Some days more. LOL
