Juss11 Posted March 13, 2013 Report Posted March 13, 2013 Building my 4mil long rod and my trans bearing feels bad on sproket side. So going to change them all. Any updated beaing part # I should use? Quote
Zillaguy Posted March 14, 2013 Report Posted March 14, 2013 If you go to www.bikebandit.com you can look at the Yamaha parts diagrams and there are part numbers too.. Just go there and look up OEM parts for whatever year banshee you have... You don't have to buy from them, but it's nice to look up your own parts, so you can make sure they are the correct parts. Juss11 Posted March 14, 2013 Author Report Posted March 14, 2013 I got the part number off the old bearing & my local bearing shop can get it for $27, but I want to go with a better bearing. Quote

You are not going to find a better bearing from a bike shop, you will have to get it from a bearing house. That being said, tell your bearing shop you want a heavier duty version of the stocker. It will probably have more balls or rolers in it. And that being said, I have never seen a stock transmission bearing fail, I have seen them have rough spots from contamination, but that is not the bearings fault. Quote
trickedcarbine Posted March 14, 2013 Report Posted March 14, 2013 Some tranny bearings can be swapped with the maxloads we use on our cranks. Quote
drunkbansheerider Posted March 15, 2013 Report Posted March 15, 2013 http://www.twostrokeshop.com/tss_gearbox_bearings_rz350_banshee.htm great company to deal with. had parts get lost in the mail and they sent me replacements at no cost to me. Quote
trickedcarbine Posted March 15, 2013 Report Posted March 15, 2013 Thought Stephan would let the TSS name die after him and Wayne split Quote
