carb rebuild

Im about to order carb rebuild kits, because gas leaks out of the over flow tubes even with the gas off. Should i get a carb sync tool? Should i remove tors while im rebuilding?

Yeah get rid of the tors.

Sync tools are nice.

Have you checked the float height or if they are sticking?

Havent checked it out only had it about 3 weeks. Runs great tho. Ok im gonna call jeff at F.A.S.T tomorrow and order all that shit. Tors a pain in the ass to remove?

I figure if im rebuild/clean the carbs real good that should stop the leaking correct?

rebuild/clean and properly setup the carbs and they wont leak.  unless one of your bowls is cracked......other than that a carb is nothing more than a metering device.....so if all the internals are rebuilt/replaced it wont leak.

Ok cool thanks. Wat all will i need to remove to get them off? Gas tank?

if your careful.....just the stock airbox (if you have it) and then of course your gonna need to remove your slides, overflow hoses, and fuel lines.  other than that.......that's it.

 

Be careful with the choke tube.....it runs between the carbs in the middle and will make you pull your hair out if you forget to put that little tube back in place.
