h20dies Posted February 22, 2013 Report Posted February 22, 2013 Alright guys I need your help... I need mods that a non trained mechanic, or matter of fact not even that good but am willing to try hard and learn. Mods without getting into the engine. Carbs? Or will they be too hard to install for I know nothing about jetting. Pods? You guys sat porting gets a ton out of the banshee so I will do that this summer and send it to a place. You guys say the banshee needs suspension? Gimme mods that make my banshee faster, more reliable and better looking. WITHOUT getting into the engine. The must do's to you guys and the ones I can do. oldskool Posted February 23, 2013 Report Posted February 23, 2013 Timing plate is a cheap and easy mod that makes a noticeable gain. You will need to buy a flywheel puller(around $15.00) Quote
Tech AS Posted February 23, 2013 Report Posted February 23, 2013 X2 on the timing plate. Definitely upgrade your intake situation if it hasn't been done already (Unlikely if you have pipes and reeds). Swapping sprockets would give you some acceleration gains without messing with the motor. Quote
WaynokaBanshee Posted February 23, 2013 Report Posted February 23, 2013 Buy a boost bottle best upgrade you can get. Quote
Jereme6655 Posted February 23, 2013 Report Posted February 23, 2013 pipes, reeds, +4 timing, a coolhead with domes decent for your elevation to bump your compression, and pods and sprockets are going to be the most you can do without opening up your motor. After that then its the porting (have to remove cylinders and send em out) and larger cranks..... Quote
fastforworddad Posted February 23, 2013 Report Posted February 23, 2013 Buy a boost bottle best upgrade you can get. That's just DUMB Quote
