209pinitTOwinit Posted February 22, 2013 Report Posted February 22, 2013 How would I go about doing this what's all needed? I have a 421 serval cub and would just like to go to the 72 bore and 58 stroke super cub now. I have a cool head and cut domes for the serval to run and have hd clutch, shift mods (star, shaft, springs). Quote
rubberneck Posted February 22, 2013 Report Posted February 22, 2013 need cylinders pistons a supercub head and supercub domes 1 Quote
209pinitTOwinit Posted February 22, 2013 Author Report Posted February 22, 2013 Does noss make superheads? I'd like to stick with my noss style coolhead. And wouldn't I need to do case work for the super cub conversion? Quote
209pinitTOwinit Posted February 22, 2013 Author Report Posted February 22, 2013 Nvm right after that post I found the exact one. 1 Quote
moneybags Posted February 22, 2013 Report Posted February 22, 2013 Also have to bore the cases. Quote
209pinitTOwinit Posted February 22, 2013 Author Report Posted February 22, 2013 I'll be calling up jeff at fast in the morning. Any one ran his serval super cub? I seen he has a serval super and the regular supercub. Wanna know how much of difference they are in power output, I assume the serval super is a higher hp version of the one I have (serval 4 mil cub. Quote
2strokes4u Posted February 22, 2013 Report Posted February 22, 2013 What type of riding are you doing? serval supercub is set up for low to mid range power and supercubs are for drag applications. I have a cub and use it strictly for drag racing. Quote
209pinitTOwinit Posted February 22, 2013 Author Report Posted February 22, 2013 I love the power my serval cub I ride now it's mainly for trails and occasional screw around racing with my buddies. So I'd think since the serval I have now is excelling at everything I do now, why not try a bigger cylinder serval.. That's why im going to give jeff my builder a call and see what all everything will cost and if he thinks Its the right way to go for me. Quote
trickedcarbine Posted February 22, 2013 Report Posted February 22, 2013 Going from a 421 serval to the 472 super serval wouldn't be worth the dollars. Try maybe a 10mm serval with the 68mm bore and go up almost 20 HP compared to 5-8 of the 472 Quote
209pinitTOwinit Posted February 23, 2013 Author Report Posted February 23, 2013 A 10 mill crank would turn the 421 into what cc? And all I'd have to do would be crank and case work right? Quote
trickedcarbine Posted February 23, 2013 Report Posted February 23, 2013 I think you would need to get a different cylinder, but maybe you could get yours ported. I'm not sure on that aspect of the CP cylinders. The 10 mil would be a 465. It would be a torque monster. Quote
