leakin oil

Got my banshee runnin, but it is shootin oil out the pipe like a bastard, right side, Its literally spraying, it was bangin on 1 cylinder for a bit, I figure thats why its got the build up of oil.

 

Any suggestions as to what this could be?

trans oil or premix?

Appears to be trans. Could be premix, didnt look at it too much, but its definitely black/brown

does it smell burnt or like premix. could do a leak test maybe lost a crank seal if its trans fluid

Dont got a tester sadly,  I will have to rip into it and look tomorrow. Ill also keep an eye on my trans level.

leak test it before ya tear into it may not be one and save alot of time their easy to make there's a thread on it in the tech section

if you can drive to a hardware and auto store you are capable of building a leakdown tester.  you need some pvc end caps, some rubber pipe block offs and a valve stem and mini tire guage. 

 

it costs about $10-15 to build.....but ive used mine COUNTLESS times and no matter what...when something fails....its the first tool out of the box. 

 

My buddy dropped a cylinder, thought it was just from riding hard on an OLD top end....I threw the leakdown tester on just for shits n giggles.  Wound up being the crank seal leaning out the motor.  Never would have known about it and he woulda burned up another top end.  Saved by $10 in plastic and rubber.
