answ3r Posted January 22, 2013 Report Posted January 22, 2013 Hi, I brought my banshee with the stock carbs bored to 28mm and I'm wondering what it is THEORICALY supposed to do to the jetting. Say ProCircuit recommends a 260 for their pipe and a stock banshee should I go bigger/same/smaller with the bored carbs as my starting point ? I was wondering the same with Vforce4 reeds and mild porting if I go down this road. Thanks ! Quote
answ3r Posted March 3, 2013 Author Report Posted March 3, 2013 Ok to anyone that might help, I read that boring them out reduces velocity so you should jet up (bigger) a bit. Quote
trickedcarbine Posted March 3, 2013 Report Posted March 3, 2013 What an increase in carb bore diameter does is actually decrease the pulse strength or draw on the carb. So, in theory you should up the jet a bit to compensate for the change in pulse as well as the additional air flow. Quote
