supastar2 Posted January 17, 2013 Report Posted January 17, 2013 Hello, I just purchase a 98 Banshee. I have no clue as what was done to it. It looks as if it had a little bit of a hard life! I bought it off of a father it was his sons. From what I see it has full Pro Circut 304 piping on it, looks like a stock air filter minus the top lid & a pro flow intake manifold. As of now it is backfiring a little bit & will not idle. I am planning a full carb clean & was going to rejet it & put new fuel in,plugs,fluids...etc. When you ride it it still pulls hard & starts on first or 2nd kick. What size jets do you think I will need? Thanks- Quote
Larry's Shee Posted January 17, 2013 Report Posted January 17, 2013 Hey, welcome to BHQ !! Let us know what's in it, might be good to go. I'm thinking at least 280+, 27.5 pilot Quote

I'm thinking at least 280+, 27.5 pilot Hello & Thank You... How would I be able to tell what's in it? The guy I bought it off of did not know if it was rebuilt or not. I'm trying to play it by ear without opening case. It looks stock. So go with 280,27.5 pilot? Quote
supastar2 Posted January 17, 2013 Author Report Posted January 17, 2013 ^^^I Dumbed out, I see you meant what jets I had in it currently. Taking apart tomorrow. Quote
supastar2 Posted January 21, 2013 Author Report Posted January 21, 2013 Opened em up, It had 300's in it. I went with the 260's first & cleaned the carb & pilot., installed K&N. Run's fine now! 300 seems a bit much?? Quote
vulvafan537240 Posted January 22, 2013 Report Posted January 22, 2013 I ran 290's with pro circuits but I had pods. No air box. 260 sounds close depending on elevation. Do a plug chop to be sure. Quote
