Asnaper Posted January 10, 2013 Report Posted January 10, 2013 Looking for opinions on the Athena Big bore kit. Good/bad? Quote
Nightmare Posted January 10, 2013 Report Posted January 10, 2013 More bad than good. Sent from my SGH-T679 using Tapatalk 2 Quote
Wildcardracing Posted January 10, 2013 Report Posted January 10, 2013 They can be setup to run well but IMO out of the box the timings are wrong and the quality is so-so. I prefer to support US made products when I can. CP industries offers the cheetah cub and serval cylinders at a price that I feel is good for the level of quality you're getting and the performance is there as well. Which cylinder you choose will depend on your intended purpose for the engine. -Brandon Quote
bluebanshee98 Posted January 10, 2013 Report Posted January 10, 2013 Forget the Athena .... Either go 4 mil ported stock cylinder or theres cubs servals ect. What exactly do you wanna do with the bike and whats your budget? Quote
trickedcarbine Posted January 10, 2013 Report Posted January 10, 2013 Athena banshee cylinder = junk! Yes it can be made to work, but dollar for dollar the American CP Cylinders are way better out of the box. Quote
