erbilabuc Posted October 12, 2003 Report Posted October 12, 2003 i cant understand what the hell it is you are trying to say. specially this sentence "and it startign picking the top edge and pealing it off" Quote
Guest bansheeman67538235 Posted October 12, 2003 Report Posted October 12, 2003 ok when the chain popped off, it got stuck betweenthe front sprocket and the engine, the chain spun in there, chaving peices off my engine, well there is alittle rubber seal/gaskit thing there, and is it starting to come off beacuse my chain started hitting it when it came off Quote
Cotton eyed Joe Posted October 12, 2003 Report Posted October 12, 2003 Take the seal out without further damaging your cases. Inspect the area where the seal goes. If its damaged, get it fixed. Whether it is or isn't, replace the seal. Quote
H300F Posted October 13, 2003 Report Posted October 13, 2003 I not 100% sure, but I think I remember you can replace that seal from the outside without splitting the cases. I might be wrong though. Quote
LanceG60 Posted October 18, 2003 Report Posted October 18, 2003 So just curious, anyone know if it can be done fromt the outside? Quote
ledofthezep Posted October 21, 2003 Report Posted October 21, 2003 Are you talking about that little plastic trianglular looking piece? Mine's cracked a bit, but I siliconed it for now.....you can get a new one from yamaha for around 12 bucks I believe,...it's found in their diagrams along with the electrical shit...  Quote
BitchenBanshee Posted October 21, 2003 Report Posted October 21, 2003 Yes the seal can be replaced from the outside. Just take a drywall screw and screw it into the side of the seal. The seal will pop out as you turn the screw into the case. Then just replace the seal, make sure you use some yamabond to keep the seal in there! Quote
