band1t Posted November 10, 2012 Report Posted November 10, 2012 Hey all, After doing research I am really temped to go all out and just build a bike this winter. Since you can buy after market frames I am wondering are the frames stamped with a vin? The reason I ask the insurance will want a number to file. Sorry if I build a complete after market everything bike I kinda want a safety net in case some kids wants to take on a joy ride, or some car decides to smash into my trailer. Has anyone just built a bike instead of buying one and than modifying a stock one? Are there any parts that aren't in the after market world? The only thing I can think of that I may need off a stock bike is a seat. Quote
